Saint of the day : Memorial of Saint Josaphat, Bishop and Martyr (c.1589-1623)
Readings
22For Wisdom, the artificer of all,
taught me. For in her is a spirit intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle,
agile, clear, unstained, certain, not baneful, loving the good, keen,
unhampered, beneficent, 23kindly, firm, secure, tranquil,
all-powerful, all-seeing, and pervading all spirits, though they be
intelligent, pure and very subtle.
24For Wisdom is mobile beyond all
motion, and she penetrates and pervades all things by reason of her purity. 25For she is an aura of the might of
God and a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty; therefore nought that is
sullied enters into her.
26For she is the refulgence of
eternal light, the spotless mirror of the power of God, the image of His
goodness. 27And she, who is one, can do all
things, and renews everything while herself perduring; and passing into holy
souls from age to age, she produces friends of God and prophets.
28For there is nought God loves, be
it not one who dwells with Wisdom. 29For she is fairer than the sun and
surpasses every constellation of the stars. Compared to light, she takes
precedence; 30for that, indeed, night supplants,
but wickedness prevails not over Wisdom. 1Indeed, she reaches from end to
end mightily and governs all things well.
89Your word, LORD, stands forever; it is firm as the heavens. 90Through all generations your truth endures; fixed
to stand firm like the earth. 91By your judgments they stand firm to this day,
for all things are your servants.
130The revelation of your words sheds
light, gives understanding to the simple. 135Let your face shine upon your
servant; teach me your statutes.
175Let my soul live to praise you;
may your judgments give me help.
20Asked by the Pharisees when the
kingdom of God would come, He said in reply, "The coming of the kingdom of
God cannot be observed,[1] 21and no one will announce, 'Look,
here it is,' or, 'There it is.' For behold, the kingdom of God is among
you."[2]
22Then He said to His disciples,
"The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son
of Man, but you will not see it. 23There will be those who will say
to you, 'Look, there He is,' (or) 'Look, here He is.' Do not go off, do not run
in pursuit.
24For just as lightning flashes and
lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be (in His
day). 25But first He must suffer greatly
and be rejected by this generation.
Notes on Readings
[1]
Luke 17:20-37 - To
the question of the Pharisees about the time of the coming of God's kingdom,
Jesus replies that the kingdom is among you (Luke 17:20-21). The emphasis has thus been shifted from an imminent observable coming of the
kingdom to something that is already present in Jesus' preaching and healing
ministry. Luke has also appended further traditional sayings of Jesus about the
unpredictable suddenness of the day of the Son of Man, and assures his readers
that in spite of the delay of that day (Luke 12:45), it will bring judgment unexpectedly on
those who do not continue to be vigilant.
[2] Luke 17:21 - Among you: the Greek preposition translated
as among can also be translated as "within." In the light of other
statements in Luke's gospel about the presence of the kingdom (see Luke 10:9, 11); 11;20) "among" is to be preferred.

Dear Humanity,
I personally encourage everyone to emulate JESUS' values on LOVE, FAITH, HOPE
and CHARITY, as the humanity has been a failure; which resulted to the more than two (2) years of pandemic and its after-effects on economy, not only here in the Philippines but worldwide.
And the saddest part of it, is that, it affected the POOREST of the POOR to even extremely be more poorer, in exchange of the affluent to be more richer.
Thank you and may GOD bless you and the whole family to have an enjoyed life's journey at home, Church, schools/universities, corporate commitments, public and places of interest.
