Our Lady of Sorrows - Memorial

In the days when He was in the flesh, He offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence. Son though He was, He learned obedience from what He suffered; and when He was made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him.

In you, LORD, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame. In your righteousness deliver me; incline your ear to me; make haste to rescue me!

Be my rock of refuge, a stronghold to save me. For you are my rock and my fortress; for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.

Free me from the net they have set for me, for you are my refuge. Into your hands I commend my spirit; you will redeem me, LORD, God of truth.

But I trust in you, LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My destiny is in your hands; rescue me from my enemies, from the hands of my pursuers.

How great is your goodness, Lord, stored up for those who fear you. You display it for those who trust you, in the sight of the children of Adam.

Standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple there whom He loved, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Note: The Bible's mentions of brothers and sisters does not not refer to other children of the Virgin Mary. In fact James and Joseph, "brothers of Jesus", are the sons of another Mary, a disciple of Christ, whom St. Matthew significantly calls "the other Mary" (Matthew 13:55 ; Matthew 28:1 ; Matthew 27:56).

They are close relations of Jesus, according to an Old Testament expression. (Genesis 13:8 ; 14:16 ; 29:15)

Jesus is Mary's only son, but her spiritual motherhood spreads out to all men whom indeed He came to redeem; the Son whom she brought forth is He whom God offered as the first-born among many brethren, that is, the faithful in whose generation and formation she co-operates with a mother's love." (John 19:26-27 h(John 19:26-27 ; Roman 8:29 ; Revelation 12:17.

Dear Humanity,

I personally encourage everyone to emulate JESUS' values on LOVE, FAITH, HOPE
and CHARITY, as the humanity has been a failure; which resulted to the more than two (2) years of pandemic and its after-effects on economy, not only here in the Philippines but worldwide.

And the saddest part of it, is that, it affected the POOREST of the POOR to even extremely be more poorer, in exchange of the affluent to be more richer.

Thank you and may GOD bless you and the whole family to have an enjoyed life's journey at home, Church, schools/universities, corporate commitments, public and places of interest.
